Dialoging with molecules …

Recently, Harry Noller dropped by my studio for a visit. With this researcher from the RNA Center Noller Lab at the University of California, Santa Cruz, I enjoy a fruitful exchange of ideas that has been going on since the 1980s.

One of the early inspirations from this dialog is “Two Different Shapes” – the conceptual work for a mural for the Novartis research building K 136 in Basle, 1989.

Here are two examples of my current work in this field, called DNArt.

Composition of 4 Objects, 20 x 20 x 20 cm each, Wood and Cord, 2013.
Composition of 5 Objects, 20 x 20 x 20 cm each, Acryl Glass and Cord, 2013.
